Improve executive functioning skills, focus, and performance

Does your child have a hard time with concentration, listening, following directions, regulating impulses, memorizing information, switching between tasks, planning, and organizing? Perhaps they would benefit from behavioral interventions to improve concentration and organization? Or perhaps they would benefit from learning coping skills and social skills to improve emotional regulation, self-esteem, and interpersonal relationships? My goal as a therapist is to help my clients develop skillsets to navigate everyday tasks at work, home, and in the community. I believe that this type of learning and development begins through authentic connection, which starts with you taking the first step to connect with me. sure you that this is a normal experience. It’s often difficult for most parents to acknowledge that they need support with their teen; and it’s incredibly anxiety evoking to trust and embark on this journey of personal development with a stranger. Yet in my experience, parents who are willing to take a risk and try out counseling often feel more centered and at ease overtime; their teen become more independent; they develop a healthier sense of self; and they grow in ways they didn’t anticipate. The overall benefits to therapy are often lifelong. Should you allow your teen to begin this process of self-development with me, we will undergo this process together. For as long as your teen needs me, I will be walking with them, guiding and encouraging them along the way. Your teen definitely deserves to be listened to, heard, and understood by a caring professional who is committed to helping them flourish. So why wait? Why not give you teen this gift by reaching out to me so that together we can determine how I might be of service to you and your teen?
