Therapy for children to reduce stress, improve happiness and focus

Does your child have a hard time with concentration, listening, following directions, regulating impulses, switching between tasks, planning, and organizing? Is your child often nervous, easily irritable, and self-critical? Perhaps your child would benefit from behavioral interventions to improve concentration, organization, and compliance? Or perhaps your child would benefit from learning coping skills and social skills to improve emotional regulation, self-esteem, and interpersonal relationships? My goal as a child psychologist is to help children develop skillsets to navigate everyday tasks at school, home, and in the community. I believe that this type of learning and development begins through authentic connection, which starts with you taking the first step to connect with me. Now as a parent with a child with ADHD, anxiety, or depression, you might feel uncertain about contacting me. I want you to know that this is a normal experience. It’s often difficult for most parents to acknowledge that they need help with their children, and it can be incredibly anxiety evoking to allow a stranger to work closely with their child in confidence. Yet in my experience, parents who are willing to take a risk and seek therapy for their children often feel more relaxed and at ease knowing that their children are being emotionally supported and cared for by a caring professional. Although investing in counseling may feel costly, the benefits are often lifelong. Therapy is by nature supportive, educational, and empowering, which when experienced can significantly help nurture and develop a heathy sense of self to effectively navigate life’s challenges. Should you allow your child to go on this journey with me, I will do my very best to provide them with the best support and care. I will be with your child, guiding them through the process of change, and encouraging them along the way. While every child deserves to be listened to, heard, and understood by a caring professional who is committed to helping them flourish, not every child is afforded this opportunity. So if you have the privilege of giving your child this wonderful opportunity, why wait? Why not give your child this gift right now by reaching out to me so that together we can determine how I might be of service to you and your child?
